Daily Duties at Cdi Corp. To Aecom/Urs:

Provided design engineering services for major modifications to existing nuclear power plants in the Duke/Progress Energy Master Services Agreement Contract. Designed Process Computer (PPC) (Honeywell) replacements, and various instrument and controls modification packages required by Fukushima impacts, NRC guides, up-rate mods, and technology and functional obsolescence of existing equipment. I was the preferred reviewer for in-process and completed design change package technical reviews for engineering, quality and procedural compliance prior to release to the client for acceptance, design records storage and finally installation. Wrote DCS and instrument specifications, modification packages, reviewed and modified client change requests, researched client and vendor documents to make the modifications, and interfaced with vendor and site personnel to accomplish tasks. Prepared packages, PHR’s and 10CFR50.59 reviews. Had nuclear power plant access clearance at Robinson Nuclear Power Plant and Brunswick Nuclear Power Plant which are Duke-Progress Energy plants. Performed design and package development of the Cyber Security modifications for Progress Energy nuclear plants and for two DOE facilities using the criteria from NEI 08-09 and 10CFR7354. Prepared the design and operating criteria for the new security buildings and the replacement with the advanced integrated HVAC system modification package.
