Daily Duties at Mylan:
Women’s Healthcare Recruited to inaugurate the start-up of a finite sales force as a pilot program, in a leadership role, for establishing a Women’s Healthcare Division. Initial promotional launch involved a transdermal contraceptive (“patch”) marketed to an exclusive subgroup within the OB/GYN specialty. Committed to full-office promotion and scenario participation. • Development of the Upstate, New York region with low business presence or awareness of product. • Experienced in positioning ideal patient demographics for setting expectations. • Gained strong acceptance of practitioners as viable treatment approach. Coached HCP’s as to maximizing patient experience in creating expanded usage. • Surpassed reach / frequency goals by 11%. Neuroscience / CNS / Pain Management Selected for the establishment of a first-ever “strike force” sales team (w/i exclusive markets) for the promotion of the company’s US manufactured generic product portfolio in the CNS / Neurology marketplace focusing on disease states such as Epilepsy, Parkinson’s. Cultivated these specialty practitioners as to the “why” behind initiating the Mylan brand. Initial responsibilities centered on the “warming” of the providers to the advent for an eminent approval of a generic, AB-rated Multiple Sclerosis subcutaneous self-injectable immunomodulator treatment that would provide substantial treatment savings over current therapy without compromising quality of patient care. Position expanded with the launch of exclusive intermediate dosages of a generic transdermal chronic pain treatment system. Coverage included Pain Management and select Primary Care practitioners for initiating this new step-care approach. Successfully assisted office personnel in the Managed Care navigation for patient coverage necessary with new therapies released to market and satisfied the majority of resistances that came to issue. Resultant total office participation. Promotion continued at the pharmacy level in a pull-through effort for product placement / dispersion. Additional product expansion involved the acquisition of the injectable Sotradecol in the sclerotherapy procedure of varicose veins to Vascular Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, and Dermatologists. Sold B2B for end-user purchase as multiple treatments performed in-office at patient expense. Successful in marketplace re-building over previous third party distribution model through increased sales volume.
What they like about Mylan:
Working in an organization that is technologically advanced, creative, and innovative is critical in your assessment of hiring companies. Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
