Daily Duties at The Dow Chemical Company:
Provided scientific and issue management support on air pollution and climate change to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) staff (manufacturing, product stewardship, regulatory compliance), global businesses, executive management, and Dow subsidiaries. Constructed the Dow Chemistry-Climate Model (DOWCCM), a 3-D global radiative-dynamical-chemical model of the atmosphere; and used it to evaluate the Ozone Depletion Potential of Telone™ (1,3-dichloropropene) for Dow Elanco. Served on state, federal, and international panels on atmospheric research. Wrote proposals for and supervised external atmospheric chemistry research through various trade associations.
