Daily Duties at Mci Worldcom:

Critical Power Engineer/ Project Manager Responsible for the power in the regens and Deri’s throughout the United States Provide C-Par inputs to PM on all capital projects. Engineer all shelter and trailer designs (MCI Network, special applications, and disaster recovery) from concept to finished project. Purchase through procurement all shelters/trailers. Designed DC power plants for the backbone. Engineer and size HVAC systems. Configured/design incoming electrical services. Engineer/design stand-by generator sets with associated automatic transfer switches. Acquired DC power plants for projects and provides SOW to Civil Construction. Provide field support (personnel on site) for TSO as requested. Purchase HVAC units for projects and provide field support. Acquired Generators and ATS as required for projects. Provide technical field support for the FAA LINCS project. Provide Engineering and technical field support for the FAATSAT project as directed. Provide technical field Provide technical field support for TSO, TFM, FAA, and MCII as required (support of over-builds/construction, decommission of sites, and field testing/trouble shooting) Support/support the Capital upgrade budget (upgrades of rectifiers, HVAC, batteries, generators, ats’s, and commercial AC power). Managed/support shelter repairs as required. Maintain/upgrade DC power, shelter, and Generator data from field reports. Any special project that requires special attention or is out of the ordinary. Project manager on all sites, was in charge of the purchase of all equipment in the projects, getting the equipment to the sites and the install of all equipment In charge of 15 to 20 projects per month and all employee that worked on the projects, usually 10 to 15.
