Daily Duties at Optum:
Created innovative Solution Architectures within a rigorous agile process for various Optum products including Health Information Exchange (HIE), Healthcare Analytics, Health Benefits shopping/enrollment/payment portal products. From the creation of analysis and design artifacts to the definition of heuristics and guidelines for the employment of various Healthcare IT technologies and technology platform components for multi-tenant cloud deployed solutions. Developed proofs of concept as code level sub-system projects to hand off to development teams. Developed SOA Governance policy and procedures for the Health Information Exchange (HIE) product suite. Architected sub-systems that support information exchange with other systems using HL7 v2 and v3 messages and IHE defined profiles. Defined the Security Architecture of the product. Defined policy and illustrated design patterns for cluster enabled applications.
