Daily Duties at Midwest Internet Solutions:
Launched all initial operations management capabilities for Midwest Internet Solutions (MIS). Leveraged publicly available (and open source) technologies while integrating with best-in-class commercial technologies. Designed and implemented systems management infrastructure to support 7x24 monitoring of a 7-state operation, including the following tools: OpenNMS, Nagios, proprietary SNMP pollers, and a centralized messaging infrastructure. Deployed wireless access infrastructure to over 48 hospitality locations throughout the Midwest. Developed a software distribution infrastructure, ensuring software currency across all routers, switches, and wireless access points.
