Daily Duties at At&T:
Provided database maintenance, database performance monitoring, database upgrading and patching, and daily backup and restore support for more than 20 applications, 30 clusters, 100 servers, and more than 150 databases, using Oracle 9i,10g, 11i and 12i. 12 of these environment where running Oracle data guard. Provide disaster recover support with manual switchover and procedures. Provide database tuning for At&t applications. Build databases using ADEPT. Provide databases support for O/S patching using IPC tool. Monitor database backups using oraflash and tape. Verifying that the backups have completed successfully using netbackup, avamar and rman scripts to disk pools and then backuped up to tape. Working with my team of SDBA provide backup support and database support for problems preventing outages and analyzing outages to determine the cause. Our team of SDBA provides support outage support, backup support, tablespace support and general database monitoring support for more than 1000 Oracle instances.
