Daily Duties at American Tire Distributors :

Propelled two underperforming distribution centers to 110% of quota in one year by implementing aggressive inventory, changing the distribution model, acquiring new resources, and correcting pricing issues. Exceeded the budgeted profitability and growth objective of $53 million-dollar. P&L and EBITDA achievement with total oversight of sales, marketing, and operations. Identified market trends and opportunities within the customer base by continuous communication and review with the sales staff. Developed the fiscal budget, designed and implemented marketing plans, and delivered sales and profit objectives. Oversaw DC management, as well as the development and retention of sales and support staff for necessary growth. Assisted the Outside Account Managers in developing and maintaining existing customers and growing new business to attain annual sales and marketing plans. Mentored the sales staff through the application of Professional Sales Skills training, in addition to regular travel to visit customers. Reacted quickly to market trends and competitive pressure to identify, develop and direct the implementation of a proactive business strategy, including monitoring competitors’ pricing, policies and market strategy. • Directly Managed: 2 Operations Managers, 4 Outside and 4 Inside Sales Associates, 2 Distribution Centers; 220,000 sq. ft. in total, 38 total employees, $8 Million in inventory
