Daily Duties at Saic:

Tracked container activity for cargo in the CENTCOMAOR to include Kuwait, Afghanistan, Iraq, Oman, Jordan, and Bahrain. Conducted special research for the Container Management Element (CME) metrics report and transportation methods. Distributed reports to the Two Star General, Deputy Program Manager, and SDDC (Surface and Deployment Distribution Command). Generated daily reports and weekly reports (Detention Trends, PAT OCC, PAT RD, Consolidated NDN ITV report, and Import and Export reports); Oversaw scheduling for the day-to-day operations of 6 transportation employees. Informed customers of container inventory, deleted events, and damaged containers. Created and directed additional management projects including reporting of man hours, and maintaining calendars and schedules. Administered logistical and operational support for theater inventory and movement for the entire CENTCOM AOR. Conducted qualitative and quantitative analysis of logistics operations using simulation models and methodologies, tools and techniques. Worked Army systems to distribute and process materials, adhoc reports, detention rates, budgeting and financial statics. ETA Helpdesk Administrator: Identified and selected the following types of information system accounts to support organizational missions/business functions. Assigned user accounts for military mission, training & information systems. Established conditions for group and role membership; Specified authorized users of the information system, group and role membership, and access authorizations (i.e., privileges) and other attributes (as required) for each account; Required approvals by clearance level, need-to-know, and completion of training for requests to create information system accounts. Created, enabled, modified, disabled, and removed information system accounts according to standard operation procedures by United States Government. Monitored the use of information system accounts; Notified users of termination of accounts. Deleted accounts 1. When accounts are no longer required; 2. When users are terminated or transferred; and 3. When individual roles or responsibilities changes United States Army Deployed (11 months), Location: Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. Provided support for SDDC operations in 20 countries including the entire CENTCOM AOR Researched In-Transit Visibility (ITV) data sources, reviewed data products, and refined/streamlined processes and procedures. Managed complex projects; coordinated deadline-driven process with multiple steps; collaborated with individuals internal and external customers. Created and updated TDR (Transportation Discrepancy Reports) which tracked US dollars for pilfered cargo and containers. Monitored carrier rates and charges and evaluated past performance and cost of transportation through historical data and trends. Supervised 3 civilians and 3 soldiers to achieve tasks directed by higher authority. Maintained communications regarding cargo and freight with military units including HQ SDDC, CDDOC, USFOR-A, JSC-A, 1st TSC, ARCENT, and commercial carriers Updated ATCOP and IBS-CMM databases; provided continuous up-to-date reporting and audits on possible pilferage or stolen cargo. Prepared reports/correspondence to the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) regarding the status and cost of pilfered and loss of government containers. Researched cargo inbound and outbound the United States, Pakistan, and Afghanistan along the Northern Distribution Network (NDN) and Ground Line of Communication (GLOC). Defined appropriate metrics and measurements to drive results. Coordinated scheduling, operations and training.
