Daily Duties at Duvall Group:

Special Investigations Unit (SIU) Senior Claims Investigator Director of SIU Operations and Investigations, July 1999 – November 2017 Applied investigative expertise to detect fraud, limit exposure and protect company assets in the areas of Auto, Property, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation. Drove business results through oversight of teams responsible for suspected fraud. Managed a team of over 200 employees. • Attained excellent results on cases with exposure of $100k+, including litigated and settled cases, and claims regarding bodily injury, PIP, Workers’ Compensation and Property Damage. • Conducted unsupervised face-to-face field investigations and database searches designed to uncover potentially fraudulent aspects of claims. • Analyzed highly technical information and applied critical thinking skills to convert the information into actionable investigative strategies for complex cases. • Championed first-rate claims customer service throughout the life of each investigation and maintained productive relationships with local/state/federal law enforcement personnel, public officials and industry advocates. • Evaluated, negotiated, and authorized settlements with claimants and attorneys. • Directed and managed vendors and counsel on a variety of terms including the approval of defense budgets and outside investigative surveillance firms. • Effectively drafted detailed investigative reports that provided critical analysis and complied with company and industry guidelines.
