Daily Duties at Ibm Global Services:

BPC Consultant/Architect/Project Manager for 10 clients in the U.S., Canada, Mexico & Jamaica. Clients included fortune 500 companies in various industries to include: Food Processing, Automotive & Paper Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Banking & Professional Services. Projects ranged from co-architecting BPC solutions for Planning, Legal Consolidations & the BPC IFRS module, data migrations/reconciliations (i.e., Hyperion and ECC to BPC) & managing the development BPC input forms & reports. Most of the projects involved either new ECC installs or reconfigurations to include GL and/or organization restructuring. With these types of projects much more attention and work was necessary in data analysis, transformation, loading and reconciliation due to the fact that BPC is heavily dependent on the consumption and use of ECC data. Most projects required managing BPC consultants (on-site, remote and off shore) as well as assigned client resources. • Responsible for all SDLC phases, Requirements, Design, Realization, Test & Go-Live, Hypercare. • Responsible for project communications, team meetings, status reporting, maintaining and/or updating various client project repositories for documentation, requirements & testing • Responsible for various Project documentation to include o Project Plan o Project Estimate o Design Document o Configuration Document o Process Definition Document (PDD) • Responsible for IBM PM responsibilities to include: client billing, IBM personnel as well as contractor time & expense reporting, & internal IBM leadership reporting • Acted as Accounting liaison/Accounting SME/BPC SME between the client accounting folks and the BPC Architects/Developers to ensure requirement/design/build alignment • Architected, Designed & either performed or managed the build of dimensions, models, data imports/exports, script logic, input forms/reports, BPFs (Business Process Flows), FX Trans, US Eliminations & the BPC IFRS starter kit • Led and/or oversaw building/presenting BPC Demos & Proof of Concepts Some of the challenges experienced include: • Building a Consolidation solution in a BPC environment being constructed by another consulting firm. • Automating eliminations with a source system that did not track Trading Partner. • Building a single solution that fits the legal consolidation requirements of the many different countries and regions of the world in which this client operates in. • Designing & building a budgeting/forecasting & solution with various levels and detail. Key Contributions: • Architected the Planning solution • Co-Architected the Legal Consolidations solution • Co-architected the IFP solution
