Daily Duties at U.S. Embassy Maputo, Mozambique:

- Provide overall operational, financial, administrative, and logistical support to the DAO - Provide day-to-day office management, including the supervision of assigned NCOs, U.S. civilian employees, and locally employed staff as directed - Drafting, implementing, and enforcing policy - Act as the program manager for Defense Intelligence Agency budget and the disbursement of funds within the US Defense Attaché Office (USDAO) - Prepare office correspondence, personnel evaluations, and award recommendations. - Prepare travel vouchers, temporary lodging allowance claims, along with emergency and extraordinary expense authority vouchers and claims. - Provide overall operational, financial, administrative, and logistical advice to the Senior Defense Officer/Defense Attaché and service attachés. - Primary action officer to embassy/mission support office. - Member of the Embassy Employment Committee responsible for attending interviews and concurrence of new employee selections. - Program manager for counter-intelligence, personnel, information, and physical security programs - Manage housing, motor pool, and property book programs - Provide oversight and management of DIA reporting requirements. - Support information exchange and collection management programs. - Assist in planning and execution of special functions, ships and VIP visits - Assist with coordination of U.S. military/civilian diplomatic aircraft landings and overflights
