Daily Duties at Pearson :
Partnered with the Head of Sales to develop and implement market-based commission and reward plans aligned to corporate strategic objectives and revenue targets for sales teams and all levels of management. Contributed to all decisions related to sales organization to drive revenue and maximize efficiencies. Restructured sales organization for customer coverage optimization, which led to cost savings (reductions in staff (125) and overall spending $25M). Led all planning & analysis, compliance and indirect management of accounting, sales reporting/management, systems and staffing ($145M); completed all variance analysis, including performance vs forecast on a monthly and quarterly basis. Increased the efficiency, control and reporting of multiple spend categories by aggressively leveraging the use of existing system functionality, (Oracle); managed to budget for every team. Improved sales operational efficiencies driving enhanced reporting and system enhancements, troubleshooting all issues, and liaison with IT support, domestic and offshore. Deployed Salesforce.com to entire sales organization.
