Daily Duties at Pearson :

 Directed a team of 9 finance professionals in support of sales organization (700+ sales force in 5 regions, based in all 50 states and Canada) in Higher Education (private and public universities, as well as for profit institutions).  Accountable for planning & analysis, compliance and indirect management of accounting, sales reporting/management, systems and staffing ($100M).  Trained entire sales organization (including management) on financials and risk management, including schedule coordination and planned training modules for entire country.  Led all aspects of financial management including revenue, expense, commissions, forecasting and modeling, reporting and audits.  Responsible for headcount forecasts, including timing, forecasts vs budget, onboarding and offboarding.  Developed models and analysis that spotted trends that led to savings and sales efficiencies in staffing and organizational structure (redirected resources for temp coverage of open territories to maximize sales).  Accountable for all vendor management, including invoice payment, forecasting and contract negotiations.
