Daily Duties at Betaseed, Inc.:

Oversaw the Human resources department and front desk. One direct report but had 2 indirect HR representatives in Idaho & Oregon consisting of 175 exempt & non-exempt employees. Responsible for all human resource functions including payroll. Handled a budget of approx. $350,000. Responsible for workers comp, liability/risk & auto insurance. Handled all the benefits which included pension & 401k plans. A lot of cost accounting & detail work due to being owned by foreign, non-US company. Recruiting, safety programs, DOT monitoring with drug testing including random testing. Worked with attorneys for H1B visa's, etc. Worked with brokers for insurance renewals (we were self-insured for health & dental). Maintained office & postal equipment.
