Daily Duties at United Nations Office For Project Services (Unops) :

To coordinate the activities of the design consultant for the design of a level 2 hospital facility in the Eastern Samar Province of the Philippines; ensure that the requirements of the Regional Department of Health (DOH) of the government of the Philippines are adequately addressed in the designs  To ensure there are adequate interactions between the consultant and the project’s technical working group and to ensure that the DOH Licensing Office requirements are fully met and compliant To ensure the existence of very strong relationship with the donor project administration organization, The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) To ensure that the designs are resilient to typhoons, hurricane and other environmental disasters that are of common occurrence to the project area, resulting in assurance that the structural design computations and assumptions are adequate and the relevant codes are utilized in the designs be; confirming, there is appropriate QA processes carried out regarding the design documents prior to sending them to UNOPS internal design review team for review and acceptance To ensure that the UNOPS design review team receives all required deign documentations for them to fully conduct comprehensive review of the hospital designs To ensure there is proper and adequate planning to attract AAA contractors to bid for the project, taking note and consideration of the remoteness of the site
