Spearheaded and managed a national outside sales team of 7 Regional Sales Managers, and 49 Account Managers. • Attracted a team of sales professionals who identified, engaged, and developed trusting relationships with a diverse portfolio of world class corporations leading to increasing revenue and exceeding business plan by 114% in 2000, 108% in 2001, 110% in 2002 and 112% in 2003. • Designed and implemented new territories, resulting in new account growth by over 30%. • Increased revenue margin by 6 % by developing a new profit focused commission plan. • Assisted in all residual and pricing considerations for master lease agreements. • Successfully implemented and grew OEM and partner vendor programs by 35 %. • Led sales team into new vertical markets by market identification, key accounts focus, account development. Increasing wireless vertical market by 300% and aerospace & defense by 200%. • Created “Tour de Force” National Sales Award Program. Developing a motivated and talented sales team which exceeded company’s revenue and profit goals. REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - Data & Test Division: 1994 - 2000 Managed a team of 12 Account Managers, focusing on key vertical markets: Fortune 500 companies, accounting & consulting, telecommunication, aerospace & defense, computer, semi-conductor and industrial markets. STEVEN R. LIGHT • Increased revenue from 1994 – 1996 by 100%, by planning, coordinating, and implementing successful sales strategies in combining two business units into one organization. • Developed, trained and directed 12 Account Managers, achieving “Region of the Year” in 1995, 1996 and 1998. • Designed and coached Account Managers on vendor relationships. Increasing vendor revenue by 200% +. • Promoted to Vice President – National Sales. REGIONAL SALES MANAGER- Data Division - Chicago IL: 1992 - 1994 Launched a new Region for Data Systems, focusing on new account development in the Midwest and Northeast expansion for the Data Division. • Hired and developed 10 Account Managers in ten new territories, targeting fortune 500 companies, big six accounting & consulting firms, and law firms. • Recognized as Regional Manager of the year in 1992 (130% of target) and 1993 (158% of target). • Promoted to Regional Sales Manager Data & Test Division. ACCOUNT MANAGER - Data Division - Houston TX: 1991 - 1992 Launched new territory for Data Systems, focusing on new account development, targeting the big six accounting and consulting firms, law firms and oil and gas companies. • Revenue increased from $ 20K to over $ 1.2 million in first year. • 1991 Account Manager of the Year & Presidents Club award. • Promoted to Regional Sales Manager Data Division. ACCOUNT MANAGER - Test Division - Orlando FL: 1988 - 1990 Strategic account development of targeted accounts in the aerospace, defense, telecommunications, wireless and microwave markets. • Increased leasing volume by 50% in 1989 and another 30% in 1990. • Ranked #3 out of 25 Account Managers for portfolio equipment sales. • Selected for expansion position with Data Systems.
