* Coordinated operation and maintenance of satellite link terminal afloat or ashore, maximizing efficiency in terminal use. Coordinated terminal operations with ship/station facilities control and ensured adequate logistics support. Scheduled maintenance in accordance with terminal's operations schedule. * Identified operations concepts, requirements, and bandwidth utilization in Department of Defense communications for full range of radio frequency spectrum (UHF, SHF, EHF, and HF). Supervised integrated contractor staff with military operations center personnel of 26 SATCOM experts supporting fleet and joint community in global SATCOM operations of 5 military systems. * Led quarterly Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Operational Manager meetings with Chief of Naval Operations (CNO), Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), and Fleet Commanders and Chief (CINCs). * Hand-picked to serve on command's strategic planning team, offering insight in assessing and validating the command's mission and function for next the decade. * Drafted watch-stander standard operating procedures (SOPs) and presented comprehensive SATCOM briefings to flag officers/VIPs as well as fleet staff and operators. * Assessed effectiveness of Challenge Athena (wideband satellite communications) coverage and recommended resources to meet operational shortfalls in the western Pacific and Indian Oceans. * Nominated for the Copernicus Award for excellence in C4I, Information Systems and Information Warfare.
