Nominated to lead start up effort of newly acquired port drayage company in both the Ports of Los Angeles and Oakland. Worked directly with Senior Vice President/Transportation to lay transition groundwork by conducting town hall meetings with 175 Teamster employees to ensure seamless employee communication, new dispatch/booking system implementation, analyze internal versus third party customers, fiscal budget preparation, and create and implement financial/operational reporting, metrics and controls. Recruited and assembled an experienced, motivated operational team resulting in a seamless transition that continues to exceed customer and management expectations.
