Daily Duties at United Van Lines/Andrews Moving & Storage:

Responsible for all routing and scheduling functions of a large International relocations company. Managed all industry and functional services, financials, personnel and quality assurance. Directly managed 30 relocation specialists, 40 local field employees and all Company vehicles • Supervised shipping, receiving, inventory control, storage, and delivery • Worked directly with Sales on high stake proposal requests and client bids • Negotiated industry rates and routes with van lines/carriers and United Van Lines Corp. driving successful partnerships to ensure coverage of all relocations • Directly managed up to 30 cross-country relocation specialists at any time, including the one van & three van fleet, 40 local employees and all Company assets and inventory • Increased sales & efficiency of business practices by Managing a dual role in Operations and Sales, performing outside sales and managed commercial relocations to strategically maximize profits while driving down expenses, increasing overall company productivity by 10% • Directly involved with customer service & sales force to insure customer satisfaction • Drafted and implemented safety policies and procedures to reduce injuries in the warehouse as well as the field • Team member of Quality Management and Control group, responsible for constant improvement of company’s quality initiatives and processes • Produced and maintained numerous weekly, monthly and annual reports and schedules to track cash flow, inventory and operating expense reductions • Responsible for driving employee retention results through continuous coaching and counseling, as well as ensuring a positive working environment • Developed and implemented improved operations manual and cross-training program. • Implemented a hand held inventory device to track customer inventory while reducing claims and missing items, reducing claims by 8% in the first year
