Daily Duties at United Van Lines/Armstrong Transportation Services:
Company leadership with financial responsibility for six locations in Texas & Colorado. Responsible for profit and loss, all operational and logistical procedures, safety, sales force, long haul driver base and local operations. • Responsible for shipping, receiving, storage and delivery of all customer product for six locations. • Work side by side with Director of Sales to deliver competitive bids for large government, military and all O/I relocations • Directly manage the safety department in regards to TX DOT, driver logs, permitting for employees and vehicles. • Insured that we continue to meet OSHA safety standards for all six warehouses in Texas & Colorado. • Currently responsible for roughly 75 employees including operations, dispatch, customer service, safety, long haul fleet & local crews. • Responsible for company scorecards that monitor profit and loss as well as overall customer service. Head up task force to create work groups that can create a positive impact on undesirable scores. • Responsible for signing on all new contracted drivers and review of contracts and rates. • Directly involved in the vehicle purchase program for all six locations. • Perform weekly & Monthly manager meeting to review process, wins & losses and overall P&L goals. • Communicate directly with CEO and COO on company directives and goals.
