Daily Duties at Select Quote Insurance Services:

Primary responsibilities include managing a staff of Network & Database Administrators to maintain the Network Infrastructure by performing installations and maintenance on HP and Dell server machines, Cisco switches, routers & Fortinet Gateways. My other duties include managing a staff of Desktop Support Analysts responsible for providing support on 300+ desktop workstations on a Windows platform. Work closely with the Application Development programmers to provide support to users on proprietary CRM applications. Created a formal process for tracking all current application problems used in a daily meeting with department business managers. Work closely with the different business groups on the imaging; printing projects, and interface with the different business units in planning moves, adds & changes. Outline business needs, purchase and track all hardware, software and maintenance needs for all departments. Ensured the company maintained compliance for all software licensing. Work closely with the dept. managers in budget planning, and purchase equipment relative to the budget. Responsible for the functional environment of 2 computer server rooms. Installed rack cabinets, run CAT5E / CAT6 cable and connect to patch panels. I contracted electricians to install electrical circuits to provide power to the systems through an Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS). I also contract an air-conditioning maintenance group to maintain HVAC for proper environmental conditions. Responsible for coordinating company moves to different floors in a 30-story high rise building. Also coordinated electrical and data cabling needs for new remote sales offices.
