Daily Duties at Area Health Education Center:
• Supervise staff; evaluate performance; ensured that required training programs were implemented and presented as required, recruitment, pre-hire orientations • Anticipated how business and political shifts could impact AHEC efforts and funding, both in the short and long term. • Networked and negotiated with area hospitals providing on-site work experience and entry-level employment opportunities. The Training program collaborated with other area adult education institutions in the area of tutoring and mentoring. (Vocational: proprietary schools and Community Colleges). • Balance operational and financial responsibilities with time spent externally in order to ensure the organization continued to remain relevant and vibrant. • Five career and technical education trades conducted in multiple counties between New Jersey and Philadelphia. • Participated and assisted Executive Director with the Board to ensure ongoing conversations about the future training direction and strategic focus of the organization. • Successfully, 350 individuals completed the training over a five year period: Job and or college.
