• Managed labor relations functions for 70-plus union and non-union facilities, with 2,300 employees, across 3 states for this provider of skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and home/hospice care. • Carried out evaluations of non-union facilities to assess vulnerability to union organizing. • Promoted union-free environments by improving employee relations at all facilities. • Provided counsel and advisory services in response to grievances and requests for information. Led all third-step grievance responses, conducted investigations, and served as a liaison to outside counsel. • Advised managers and executives regarding grievance and complaint resolution procedures, corrective actions and discipline, contract and policy interpretation, compliance, and performance management. • Conducted training on a wide variety of labor relations issues. • Planned and led annual audits of all facilities to identify areas of concern or risk, and recommended solutions. • Counseled senior executives and managers on cases involving potential termination.
