Daily Duties at Guardian Life Insurance Company Of America:
Manage all aspects of large complex multi-party, multi-track real estate and facilities programs globally, including India. Support the lease administration function and capital planning. Spearhead cost control/expense reduction initiatives. • Programs and Projects (Scope, Schedule/Time, Financial Management) o Manage budgets between $500K to $100MM for 50,000 SF – 300,000 SF projects o Oversee concurrent, complex projects across several business units, profit and support centers. Establish and maintain detailed master project work plans. Ensure that initial project estimates and financial forecasts are complete and support the business plan. • Quality Management - Implement adequate quality assurance techniques in accordance with enterprise standards. • Resource Management - Oversee multiple stakeholders and project teams across domestic and international locations, providing mentoring and coaching to project team leaders and members. • Communication Management -Institute and communicate effective project plans including status reports and progress metrics; Effectively communicate internally and externally. Escalate and resolve issues via proper communications channels. • Risk Management - Perform risk analysis of project-related issues and mitigate risks by developing appropriate risk response plans. • Procurement Management - Manage vendors, contractors and consultants; determine rules of engagement. • Sustainability -Create enterprise-wide sustainability strategies and manage green teams at HQ locations to support the company’s climate initiatives. Manage LEED Gold certification process for a significant campus project.
