Planned and directed the distribution of all news about Saint Peter’s to numerous constituencies - including physicians, hospital staff, community partners, patients, and the public - through oversight of the health system’s internal and external communications. - Served as official spokesperson for the healthcare system. - Supervised and directed all outreach to print and broadcast media. - Coordinated press coverage with reporters, editors and news organizations. - Conceived and executed media campaigns highlighting key clinical and other services. - Promoted Saint Peter’s on the web and through social media channels. - Positioned physicians and health system employees in media interviews. - Provided media training/coaching for healthcare professionals. - Executed and devised crisis communications plans of action. - Oversaw production of various newsletters and related communications for staff and physicians, including an employee newsletter and a quarterly physician newsletter. - Planned and edited “Central Jersey Health & Life” magazine, the healthcare system’s quarterly health and lifestyle publication distributed to more than 50,000 households. - Penned written/verbal communications for the president/CEO and administrators. - Established policies for the conveyance of information regarding Saint Peter’s. - Acted as liaison to outside groups and organizations.
