Daily Duties at Clarks North Amerca Companies:
§ Manages a team of 15, with oversight for everything from recruitment, vetting candidates, and training through to goal setting, coaching, and performance management. § Optimizes human capital through the development of staffing schedules for a team of 10 (15+ during holiday hours) with an eye to achieving a balance between labor budgets and store needs. § Translates corporate performance standards, requirements, and targets into the development of daily goals for staff, meticulously tracking sales to ensure that results align with objectives. § Adapts merchandising directives to reflect the target market, demonstrating creativity and innovation in capturing customer interest. § Leads recruitment and selection efforts for the region, taking the lead on hiring, mentoring new Store Managers and tenured Store Managers that are having problems in their store. § Runs inventory reports to maintain consistent Profit and Loss levels while updating inventory files to reflect changes in vendor price increases or decreases and adjusting the prices accordingly. § Creates selling programs for non-movement inventory to decrease inventory levels and increase sales revenue, as well as issued purchase orders for inventory to replenish existing and new stock items. § Designs training programs and professional development courses to facilitate meeting organizational goals and individual professional needs. § Researches new and innovative techniques for possible inclusion into existing training process. Provides logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management. § Plans the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets. § Conducts continuing education training.
