Daily Duties at Cisco Systems Inc:

Business Operations Manager (2010 – 2013) Recruited by the Advanced Services Business Operations group to lead broad-based, and cross-functional operational changes to support Cisco’s new business models and market adjacencies. • Successfully handled a two-person workload; operations continued in a transparent manner while covering for two Cisco employees who were on-leave. • Effectively leverage global business metrics and scorecard processes to articulate the results, business value of key initiatives and programs. • Spearheaded a company-wide quarterly release which led to several business system enhancements. Senior IT Program Manager / Business Advocate (2007 – 2010) Recruited as a strategic information technology leader chartered to establish Technical Project Management Office and focus on delivery of high-level project methodologies within Cisco’s Advanced Services IT department. • Participated in the development of Cisco’s IT PMO by providing input to all facets of this PMO. • Reduced staffing requirements by over 25% while supporting increased business requirements. • Directed a team of Developers and Systems Analysts that integrated all of Cisco’s Boundary applications into a new global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. • Implemented rigorous system development life cycle processes which led to the removal of the Oracle Search tool over to a Google search appliance. This led to a 50% increase in system usage. Advanced Services Senior Project Manager (2000 – 2006) • Led strategic planning, client relations and job scheduling for state-of-the-art networks for clients such as Dow Chemical, Chicago Board of Trade, EDS, Bank of America, and Sprint. • Assumed and successfully project managed a stalled $6.5 million data transport network covering 100 shopping malls across the U.S. for General Growth Properties. • Served as lead Service and Support Manager for the Chicago Board of Trade, providing on-site support and quarterly management presentations to improve and maintain customer satisfaction. • Organized and successfully completed Cisco’s ISO 9001 and 14001 re-certification efforts.
