Daily Duties at Duke Energy:

Responsible for managing third-party administrators of health and welfare benefits. Conducted investigations into first level benefit appeals for internal benefits committee. Reported and analyzed claims and diagnostic trends from a third-party aggregate database to make recommendations on plan design. ϒ Ensured health and welfare plans met regulatory compliance including ERISA and Healthcare Reform (PPACA) impact analysis and implementation. ϒ Lead Project Team in development and implementation of dependent eligibility audit, resulting in an immediate $300,000 in plan savings. ϒ Led user acceptance testing of various benefit tools, including open enrollment for 18,000 benefits eligible employees.
