Daily Duties at Bell South/At&T:
• Was responsible for hands on testing of forward looking technology, some of which were IPTV, Multicast, L2/L3 VPNS, routing protocols, next generation BRAS, Next gen Edge and Core routers • In this function I tested many major vendors for Access, Edge, and Core – Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel, Tellabs, Redback, Tellabs • Assigned responsibilities of assisting senior network testing engineer in implementing network testing plans • Used all major test vendor tools Ixia, Agilent, Spirent, Network General, Wireshark, for traffic/protocol generation and analysis • Performed responsibilities of testing network automation frameworks and provide support to internal customers in all aspects of testing process • Wrote methods and procedures for NOC personnel • Performed responsibilities of drafting test case reports and in implanting the test with results being documented with recommendations on equipment performance • Assisted other Lab engineers with training in implementing network features and automated test cases
