Daily Duties at Idmi Software/Phi:

I partnered with the owner of IDMI Software to create Privately Held Insurance (PHI). Our intention in the forming of PHI was to work with large employers to build captive reinsurance offerings for covering commercial general liability, worker’s compensation, professional liability D&O, E&O, Cyber and other lines of business. The first step to achieving this goal was to develop a risk management assessment focusing on portfolios comprised of premiums ranging from $5K to $5M which included healthcare funding, life insurance and traditional lines of business. Once the operational strategy was determined, PHI would implement tools constructed to aid clients in issuing multiple captive insurance policies. A key product of PHI was the ability to implement a software platform capable of generating detailed attestation reports for clients to utilize while writing quotes, claims, losses, and insurance reports. Many of our clients used this tool to successfully increase their ability to write more policies in a given time frame. It also allowed for PHI and our clients to scrutinize various contracts for complications of excessive liability resulting in a savings of millions in potential liability payments.

Less important to you are stability of the organization, the length of time an organization has been in business, and the business' plans for the future. You prefer a fast-moving company that will take risks to achieve its goals and objectives. The length of time the company has been in business is irrelevant. Maintaining status quo is unnecessary. You thrive on change, uncertainty and the upside of potential business risks, especially those associated with innovation. Stability for the long haul is not nearly as important as is working in an atmosphere that is charged with a sense of urgency and constant change.
