Daily Duties at Karl Storz Imaging:

Primary duties consisted of managing 30 employees and monitoring the daily operations of the machining services department, which included three shifts per seven day work week. Items addressed daily were safety, scheduling of equipment, material usage, quality, scrap generation, labor utilization and other key metrics that drive the bottom line. Coordinate and maintain PM programs for all capital equipment, plan work for the department using a MRP system (QAD and SAP), create BOMs, routers, and work orders as required. Develop and maintain policies and procedures within the department to ensure ISO and FDA compliance. Represent the department in yearly ISO and FDA audits and participate on all new product development teams. Implement programs and develop tools to improve key performance indicators that increase overall department performance.
