Daily Duties at Upmc:

• Extensive experience in different neurosurgeries including craniotomy for tumor, microvascular decompressions, endoscopic endonasal approach for tumor, cervical to sacral spine fusions and many others • Ability to monitor cortical activity during cardiovascular surgeries including carotid endarterectomies, aortic arch and valve replacements, and aneurysm coilings and clippings • Experience communicating to surgeons and anesthesia staff during critical points of procedures, reporting significant changes in cortical responses, and mapping cranial nerves III-XII using electrical stimulation
