Daily Duties at Wipro Technologies:
SYBASE Database Administrator - Worked as a Sybase Database Administrator at Level 2 support in one of the prestigious Insurance Company, North Western Mutual (USA). - Daily task assigned by the client to work on the DBRs ( Database Request ) Include taking Backups, Restore, Database Creation, Database Drops, Performance tuning etc. - Day to day activities include providing Sybase support and troubleshooting of issues like Connectivity, Memory issues, Query performance, Server related, Autosys jobs failures. - Job also involves opening new tickets for any new issues related to the Server performance, Databases maintenance, Backup Failures, parameters change for the server and driving them to closure with highest levels of customer satisfaction. - Troubleshooting performance related issue and helping team to open and communicate with Sybase for new cases. - Monitoring of Sybase for any kind of blocking, log full and tempdb full issues. - Work on Problem Tickets for the frequent occurring issues on Servers. To identify the root cause of the failure and to go an extra mile in investigating and designing a solution for the issue. - Monitoring the Production databases size on a daily basis to avoid database full issues. - Provide the Audit scores for the collected data to enhance the Quality of Services. SQL Server Database Administrator - Working on Client request DBR (Database Request) which include taking backups, restore, Database creation and drops, Server drops. - Worked with teams to apply patches on the SQL server. - Working on VERITAS Net backup to initiate backup requests and monitor scheduled backups. - Part of the team for capacity planning and growth.
