Daily Duties at Syntel Limited:
SYBASE Database Administrator - Worked as a Sybase Database Administrator at Level 2 support in one of the prestigious Healthcare Solutions Company, TriZetto (USA). - Supporting 24*7 environments that include approx. 400 Sybase instances out of which 150 are production servers and 50 replication servers. - Daily task assigned by the client to work on the Work Orders, Include taking Backups, Restore, Script Deployments, Table migrations, Server Decommissioning, Change Pack Install, Deployment of Stored Procedures, BCP in and out of tables etc. - Day to day activities includes providing Sybase support and troubleshooting of issues like Connectivity, Server related Jobs failures. - Troubleshooting of replication servers. - Space monitoring of databases and host level. - Job also involves opening new tickets for any new issues related to the Server performance, Databases maintenance, Backup Failures, and driving them to closure with highest levels of customer satisfaction. - Creating logins and users for the servers. - Monitoring of Sybase for any kind of blocking, log full and tempdb full issues. - Monitoring the Production databases size on a daily basis to avoid database full issues.
