Daily Duties at Navistar / International Truck And Engine Inc.:
Responsibilities included the support of 1,100 desktops and laptops running Windows 2000 and Win 95. Assisted in level 2 and 3 general desktop support, troubleshooting network connectivity to end points from clients, providing end desktop support and helpdesk related issues. Duties included Trend Antivirus administration and rapid response to virus outbreaks in the environment, migration to Internet Explorer 5.5 using IEAK, participated in a Novell to Microsoft File and Print migration, the development of a Window 2000 image using SysPrep, SMS client rollouts to workstations, developed custom MSI installer packages for software deployment and the migration from Windows 95 to Windows 2000. Minor server administration duties included the assist in a datacenter move of 100 servers, Windows login script updates KixStart, the roll out of Diskeeper 5 to defragment desktops. Creation of new user IDs in Active Directory and ensuring users could log into their machines with the various changes that being made. Lastly development and updates to technical documentation of known problems, fixes and procedures and the training of contractors and interns.
