Daily Duties at Rockland Professional Group:

 Provided individual, family, and marital counseling to adults and adolescents.  Treated adolescents and adults with substance abuse, and process addictions (gambling, sexual addictions) issues using 12-step model, cognitive behavioral model, and motivational interviewing techniques.  Assessed patients of all ages admitted to Lake Forest Hospital emergency department or Intensive Care Unit with psychiatric and substance abuse issues, which included patients who were suicidal, homicidal, or in acute distress.  Arranged the transfer of patients to inpatient facilities based on their needs and insurance benefits.  Provided utilization review and obtained preauthorization of treatment from insurance companies.
