Daily Duties at State Of Arizona Department Of Economic Security, Children Youth And Families/Child Protective Services :
I was responsible for assisting field workers in conducting investigations, interviewing children & families and assessing child safety. I provided support and ongoing training to new personnel. I maintained knowledge of agency policies and procedures pertaining to the removal of children. I performed clinical supervision with investigators to include problem solving, critical thinking, documentation, decision making, competencies to assist families in resolving present safety concerns while participating in Team Decision Making meetings as the supervisor for the unit. I maintained knowledge of dependency action processes through the juvenile court; to include court documentation. I was responsible for identifying and determining the level of CPS intervention necessary to maintain child safety; including safety planning, in home services, and out of home services. I attended and participated in ongoing trainings, conferences and management meetings.
