Daily Duties at State Of Arizona Department Of Economic Security, Children Youth And Families/Child Protective Services:

I was responsible for providing service to families, protection to dependent children, initiating of the initial filing of petition. This position required extensive ongoing, updated knowledge of Arizona law and statute requirements as applies to legal areas of child welfare, parental rights, adoption, guardianship, delinquency, child custody, dependent entitlements, mental health, juvenile court process and law enforcement. Worked in conjunction with other City, State and County agencies directly related with criminal investigations. Administered and performed on-site drug testing while assessing adults with substance abuse, and mental health issues. Recommended, referred and obtained services for the adult population. Worked and coordinated with Adult Probation, Juvenile Probation, and Pretrial Services to prepare and submit mandatory court documents in association with clients facing court ordered treatment which included, but not limited to, substance abuse, criminal, and mentally ill populations. I made recommendations to the court regarding individual’s services and custody of individuals for court proceedings. Extensive experience working with high caseloads, organizing files, & managing information as it pertains to cases. Maintain strict time frames for court proceedings and reports.
