Daily Duties at Clean Energy Systems:
As test engineer I designed and wrote test procedures for prototype equipment. I also guided all other testing headed up by other engineers. As process engineer I was primary piping designer for facility upgrades and FEED designs. The designs included high and low pressure oxygen supply systems, high pressure fuel systems, high temperature piping for steam and CO2, ultra supercritical steam piping system design, power piping and equipment design or selection. Instrumentation specification and purchasing was included in my responsibilities. Safety engineer I was responsible for failure modes and effects analyses (FMEA) as well as process failure modes and effects analysis(PFMEA) and HAZOP studies with clients (Siemens, Maersk, Suncor, California Energy Commission). Lead for FEED (Front End Engineering Design) studies for power plants. Created company college and curriculum for a better infermation exchange between colleagues.
What they like about Clean Energy Systems:
The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
