Daily Duties at Legal:

I have a comprehensive litigation practice covering a wide area of civil and criminal litigation. I have handled criminal defense handling cases involving misdemeanor offenses in Municipal Court, to felony cases ranging from theft of property and possession of controlled substances to capital murder defense litigation in the Montgomery County Circuit Court as an appointed and retained attorney. I have a growing practice in Criminal Appeal cases. I have a growing divorce practice involving both uncontested divorces as well as contested divorce cases to include child support, child custody, and property issues. I have an extensive background in the Juvenile Court system handling both delinquency and dependency cases. I have handled civil litigation at the Small Claims, District, and Circuit Court levels to include automobile accident representation, breach of contract representation for both the plaintiff and defendant, and personal injury cases to name but a few. I have handled bankruptcy litigation covering Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 for individuals. I provide legal representation for several business entities and have assisted many clients in the creation of their own business entity. I am assisting individuals in dealing with the Alabama State Tax Agency and Federal Internal Revenue Service in getting their tax issues resolved and up-to-date relieving any tax liens or back-tax burdens the individuals may have. Due to my background with information technology, and software development, several companies have sought out my expertise and knowledge as they deal with the complex issues of computer and cyber law. I am licensed to practice in Alabama and in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama Federal Court system.

What they like about Legal:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
