Analyze patient laboratory results: CBC, ANC, creatinine, BUN, and LFTs and evaluate chemotherapy treatment plans and orders; Ensure that treatments are FDA approved for diagnosis and compliant with NCCN guidelines; Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and OSHA regulations governing the practice of pharmacy and handling of hazardous drugs; Manintain chemo spill kits, emergency drug box; Utilize reverse distributor to dispose of exipred drugs; Calculate BSA, creatinine clearance, and chemotherapy drug doses; Adjust drug does when appropriate; Prepare and dispense IV chemotherapy drugs administered in infusion center; Organize patient profiles including diagnosis, treatment plan, BSA, allergies, age, CBC, and other pertinent information; Regularly update the drug database in Intellidose program used to write chemotherapy orders; Biological safety cabinet certification biannually; Create new, and revise existing templates and treatment plans in Intellidose; Comprehensive training to back up pharmacist to develop their competencies in new drugs and procedures; Order all drugs and supplies, provide drug information to clinical staff and patients; Perform J-code billing of drugs; Utilized Lynx Mobile system for inventory control and to maintain perpetual inventory of all drugs; Remove from active inventory and returned expired drugs.
