Daily Duties at Exxon Mobil (Nigeria Affiliate):

• Prepare month end account reconciliations. • Investigate item past critical age and reconcile items for prompt clearance. • Assist division, clients departments and vendors in resolving issues on accounts reconciliations. • Communicate with division and project accounting leads on operational and other changes that could impact accounting entries. • Use of documentation to verify general ledger posting accuracy. • Respond to miscellaneous enquiries such as audit, project and ad hoc reports. • Perform account reconciliation of associated Balance Sheet accounts per ExxonMobil standards (SAP IPES). • Validate and ensure recognition of appropriate Withholding Tax (WHT) where necessary. • Assists in internal assessments, Audits, Code Eye Reviews and other control related investigations. • Process all invoices related to an approved purchase orders, employee expense and advances, credit memos and payment transactions. • Ensures all expenses are posted to the appropriate general ledger accounts. • Resolve any bank related account payables issues. • Process inter-company payments according to corporate guidelines. • Ensures compliance with corporate guidelines and SAP requirements by reviewing and analyzing payments. • Compute taxes owed by applying prescribe rates, laws and regulations. • Returned Payments/Unclaimed Payments Accounts administration. • Respond to vendors’ requests, inquiries and problems in a quick efficient manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and a quality service.
