Daily Duties at Eg&G Technical Services:

Performed all SEACATS system functions, acceptance through to closing of the seizure. Assist U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers with enforcing US Customs fines and penalties for illegal import cargo as well as forfeitures officers and other appropriate U.S. Treasury Bureau representatives, and various other U.S. Agencies. Perform evaluations in subcontractor facilities, train and evaluate subcontractors, and select new vendors as required. Ensure accuracy of subcontractor invoicing. Conduct property and merchandise evaluations. Participates in pre-seizure and seizure operations. Escort seized cargo to from the seizure location to bonded warehouse. Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of seized property and seized or General Order merchandise in long time storage maintenance and determine necessity and reasonableness of repairs and upgrades. Coordinate property management and merchandise acceptance/disposal with U.S. Customs property custodian specialists, applicable Treasury Bureau representatives, subcontractors, and divisional management. Investigates lost, damaged, or destroyed property. Oversees final disposition of property. Evaluate and prepare property for sale and ensures timely delivery of merchandise to required location for sale/auction. Coordinate sales center activities for seized property and general order merchandise. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
