Planned, directed, coordinated, and lead activities of GEAR UP/Project SHIFT to ensure that goals, objectives and all elements of the early awareness college readiness program was accomplished within the prescribed time frame, funding, and implementation parameters. • Maintained funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project. • Researched and obtained outside grant funding sources, oversaw budget, ensured financial accountability. • Prepared annual status reports, budget revisions, one-to-one matching funds for a final federal budget greater than $750,000 and compliance regulations to ensure continuation of grant and programming for more than 3,000 middle and high school students. • Gave final approval of materials, supplies, and programming between partnerships and schools to support students, teachers, and parents. • Supervised all community partnerships between five middle and high schools, and all planning/administrative staff assigned to the Project to ensure on-time schedule and budget alignment. • Outlined work plan, responsibilities, and scope of authority for seven full time university staff and no less than 20 paid ancillary staff. • Created academic and social programming on and off of a university campus that included tutoring, technology programming, campus tours, leadership training, career exploration, summer residency programming, college credit attainment, etc. for more than 3,000 middle and high school students.
