Responsible for all functions related to the Men’s Department, including: * Member of The Men’s Planning Team, providing leadership to all men’s merchandise managers in a district of 23 stores * Buy and maintain a $4MM inventory * Plan, and adjust based on sales trends and calendar shifts, for: sales, markdowns, receipts and markups *Product/Category planning utilizing company specific programs * Analyze operating statements to ensure gross profit is maximized *Generate and analyze financial reports for Men's Department *Work with Store Manager and Business Planning Manager to set overall plans for the Men's Department *Forecasting and initializing of monthly markdowns * Personnel functions such as hiring, training, coaching, appraisals, and counseling, as needed
