Daily Duties at Al Tawfeek Leasing Company Affiliate Of Dallah Al Barakah Group:

Senior Manager – Head of Credit Analysis Department CAD (October 2007 – June 2010) (Moved to the department on October 2007 and got promoted several times, last of which was on October 2009). As the Head of Credit Analysis Department CAD, my department fell under the supervision of the Assets Management Department, directly reporting to the Deputy General Manager. Main responsibilities were; 1- Responsible for the credit assessment and management of the company’s portfolio that reached out 80 clients in 2009, with total leasing facilities of LE 2Bn. 2- Provide Senior Management with full accurate credit assessment for new and existing clients through the credit presentations presented to the different managerial levels for approval. Data presented in such presentations is to be revised by myself to manage the quality of these presentations and to seek new techniques to upgrade them and broaden the scope of their credit assessment. 3- Supervise the proper management of accounts by CAD department. Any deviations/ amendments in the existing lease facilities and controlling conditions are to be raised to senior management for approval/notification, depending on the case, through a credit memorandum with my initials on it. 4- Manage CAD in acting as a liaison between the Risk Management Department (RMD) and the Credit & Marketing Department (C&MD), assuring that any risk issues related to new / or existing clients are being handled and resolved to the benefit of the company. Any memorandum concerning such issues is to be prepared by the CAD, signed by myself before being raised to senior Management for notification / approval. 5- Establish and formalize a Risk Acceptance Criteria for clients that would act as standard guidelines for the acceptance of clients on different scales; company, industry, financial performance, etc... 6- Annually provide Senior Management with a complete assessment of the market; potential industries in which the company should seek business opportunities; and the risks affecting the company in each industry from a credit perspective. 7- Initiate and continue providing Senior Management with reports clarifying data about the portfolio, the company’s risk position, daily market data and news. 8- Revise and provide initials on any advising form prepared by the Credit Administration and Business Control Unit (CABCU) prior circulation. 9- Play a vital role in the preparation of any policy related to its core business, and has the right to ask for any amendment in any current policy guide or process manual to ensure the efficient flow of business inside the company, and the mitigation of any business risk that might be experienced by the CAD staff within the current system or policy. 10- Responsible for developing new financing products and programs that shall generate more business and profitability to the company. 11- Provide on-job training for CAD staff, trainees and new comers. 12- An attending member in the Company’s Credit Committee. Assistant Manager – Credit Risk Department (July 2006- October 2007) Joining the Credit Risk Department, my functional position was the Deputy of the Department Head. Working in a start-up company, our first assignment accomplished was setting the Credit and Risk policy of the company and obtaining the approval of the Board of Al Barakah Group on it. Afterwards, my main responsibility was preparing full credit assessment for clients approached by the Marketing department and tracking them till they are finally approved by the board.
