Daily Duties at 3 M Company:

Responsible for product development, product engineering, technical service and regulatory affairs for 3M Fire Protection Products Business. • Responsible for setting the strategic direction for the laboratory, aligning with business counterparts, growing and gaining market share • Responsible for new product introduction process, regulatory compliance and new product application development • Management and oversight of large and complex business processes, budget management, travel management, compliance and building customer relationships • Responsible for new product development timelines and communications to executive operating committee. • Develop and implement Intellectual Property strategic plan • Responsible for product timelines • Oversight of fire testing with outside organizations such as UL, FM and Intertek • Interact and work directly with customers on new product development and technical support • Responsible to develop and grow expertise in the technical team and maintain a healthy talent pool • Interface with regulatory and code advocacy industry groups to drive market growth and protect core business • Responsible to develop and maintain a robust new product hopper • Responsible to run and operate a global fire testing center comprised of (4) fire testing furnaces.
