Daily Duties at 3 M Consumer Business Group:

Strong focus on marketing and branding (approximately 45%), new markets/sales (35%), and global supply chain social compliance, quality compliance and customer support. Responsible for setting strategy and execution of business environmental and social sustainability & quality for the global consumer business group ($4.5B in sales, 10,000 global employees). • Develop high level customer relationships designed to deepen the business relationship and strategically open the door for larger 3M business solutions and drive new business • Accountable for global product regulatory compliance, product performance and marketing claims, and ensuring products and service meet customer expectations • Develop and execute on global quality control processes for new products and existing products. • Manage a global quality operations consisting of 49 manufacturing plants (20 owned and another 19 operating in) and 5000+ suppliers. • Manage human resources and develop succession plans for global quality and EHSR organization • Monitor and track government policy, advocate on behalf of 3M as needed at both the federal and state level • Manage ethical sourcing and human rights policies and processes across the global value chain. Develop policies and procedures that ensure environmental stewardship and social compliance with global suppliers. Work to ensure 3M processes are meeting customer expectations and anticipate future changes. Develop risk-mitigation plans working both internally & externally. • Provide tools and processes that enhance product development of sustainable solutions. Lead external efforts to find unique technology solutions using more sustainable materials. • Coordinate sustainable packaging strategy and execution plan • Work with business units to develop CSR marketing communications plans and brand strategies • Lead community engagement projects and represent 3M externally as corporate spokesperson on issues of sustainable business development • Engage the sales force and develop knowledge of 3M sustainability and how to leverage with customers • Appointed Chair for the 3M Women’s Leadership Forum. Formal organization endorsed and supported by the 3M board of directors with the mission to accelerate the advancement and inclusion of women globally at 3M.
