Daily Duties at Usertech:
As a Usertech agent, worked with companies who contracted with our firm to develop both hands-on and lecture based courses designed to get company employees up an running on Peoplesoft software as it related to their business. Training included both hands-on classroom on how to navigate and use the Peoplesoft program designed for their organization, as well as attitudinal training for employees to help facilitate the corporation changes that typically accompanied the new software integration. As a Usertech employee, it was also my role to facilitate the relationship with the customer, ensure we were meeting all objectives for the original scope of work as well as foster new opportunities with the company. In that capacity, I also used my MIS background to work with the security team at Boston Scientific to define the security parameters and roles for access into their system. While working with Boston Scientific, led a team of Usertech course developers who assisted in the preparation of course materials as well as instruction.
What they like about Usertech:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
